Functionalized Gold Nanoparticles for the Detection of C-Reactive Protein.
C-reactive protein (CRP) is a very important biomarker of infection and inflammation for a number of diseases. Routine CRP measurements with high sensitivity and reliability are highly relevant to the assessment of states of inflammation and the efficacy of treatment intervention, and require the development of very sensitive, selective, fast, robust and reproducible assays. Gold nanoparticles ...
متن کاملElectrochemical Detection of Hydrazine Using a Copper oxide Nanoparticle Modified Glassy Carbon Electrode
Metallic copper nanoparticles modified glassy carbon electrode is fabricated by reduction of CuSO4 in the presence of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) through potentiostatic method. As-prepared nanoparticles are characterized by scanning electron microscopy and electrochemical methods. Copper oxide modified glassy carbon electrode (nano-CuO/MGCE) is prepared using consecutive potential sca...
متن کاملA Novel Signal-Amplified Immunoassay for the Detection of C-Reactive Protein Using HRP-Doped Magnetic Nanoparticles as Labels with the Electrochemical Quartz Crystal Microbalance as a Detector
A novel horseradish peroxidase- (HPR-) doped magnetic core-shell Fe3O4@SiO2@Au nanocomposites (Fe-Au MNPs) were employed on immunoassay for the determination of C-reactive protein (CRP) based on a electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance detector (EQCM). Firstly, the secondary CRP antibody and HRP were both immobilized on the Fe-Au MNPs (Fe-Au MNPs-anti-CRP2/HRP) as a signal tag. Secondly, t...

C-REACTIVE PROTEIN RESPONSE IN ANGINA PECTORIS
C-reactive protein (CRP) response was studied in 44 patients with acute angina pectoris admitted to the coronary care unit. 71 % of patients with acute myocardial infarction (MI)had positive CRP test while 73% of patients presumed to have unstable angina pectoris had negative CRP test. This test can be helpful in differentiating between acute MI and unstable angina pectoris.
